NWB-M-1
North - 5/1/2013: Monitoring Station NWB - M-1 looking north at saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) prairie with cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto), American beautyberry (Callicarpa americana), winged sumac (Rhus copallinum) and groundsel tree (Baccharis halimifolia). Muscadine grape (Vitis rotundifolia) and broomsedge bluestem (Andropogon virginicus) dominate the groundcover. East - 5/1/2013: Monitoring Station NWB - M-1 looking east at saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) prairie with scattered cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto), live oak (Quercus virginiana), groundsel tree (Baccharis halimifolia), winged sumac (Rhus copallinum) and American beautyberry (Callicarpa americana). US 41 in background.
 
West - 5/1/2013: Monitoring Station NWB - M-1 looking west at saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) prairie with groundsel tree (Baccharis halimifolia), American beautyberry (Callicarpa americana), winged sumac (Rhus copallinum), cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto), live oak (Quercus virginiana) and sand live oak (Quercus geminata). South - 5/1/2013: Monitoring Station NWB - M-1 looking south at saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) prairie with American beautyberry (Callicarpa americana), winged sumac (Rhus copallinum) and groundsel tree (Baccharis halimifolia). Live oak (Quercus virginiana), sand live oak (Quercus geminata) and cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto) are scattered throughout.
NWB-M-2
North - 5/1/2013: Monitoring Station NWB - M-2 looking north at cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto) with groundsel tree (Baccharis halimifolia), saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) and American beautyberry (Callicarpa americana). Bushy bluestem (Andropogon glomeratus), sword fern (Nephrolepis exaltata) and various mown grasses and forbs dominate the groundcover. US 41 in background. East - 5/1/2013: Monitoring Station NWB - M-2 looking east at various mown grass species, including bahiagrass (Paspalum notatum), St. Augustinegrass (Stenotaphrum secondatum) and big carpetgrass (Axonopus furcatus) with a few cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto). US 41 in background.
 
West - 5/1/2013: Monitoring Station NWB - M-2 looking west at live oak (Quercus virginiana), sand live oak (Quercus geminata), cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto) and saw palmetto (Serenoa repens). Bushy bluestem (Andropogon glomeratus), tailed bracken (Pteridium aquilinum var. psuedocaudatum) and sword fern (Nephrolepis exaltata) dominate the groundcover. South - 5/1/2013: Monitoring Station NWB - M-2 looking south at cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto), live oak (Quercus virginiana), sand live oak (Quercus geminata) and various grass species including big carpetgrass (Axonopus furcatus) and bahiagrass (Paspalum notatum). This area is primarily maintained by mowing.
NWB-M-3
North - 5/1/2013: Monitoring Station NWB - M-3 looking north at white mangrove (Laguncularia racemosa), black mangrove (Avicennia germinans), saltmeadow cordgrass (Spartina patens), saltgrass (Distichlis spicata) and needle rush (Juncus roemerianus). Cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto) and bushy bluestem (Andropogon glomeratus) along wetland edge. East - 5/1/2013: Monitoring Station NWB - M-3 looking east at saltgrass (Distichlis spicata), saltmeadow cordgrass (Spartina patens) and needle rush (Juncus roemerianus) with cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto) at wetland edge. White mangrove (Laguncularia racemosa) is visible in the foreground. US 41 in background.
 
West - 5/1/2013: Monitoring Station NWB - M-3 looking west at black mangrove (Avicennia germinans), white mangrove (Laguncularia racemosa) and cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto). Magroves have almost fully recovered from past freezes. South - 5/1/2013: Monitoring Station NWB - M-3 looking south into a salt marsh dominated by mangroves, salt grass (Distichlis spicata) and needle rush (Juncus roemerianus). Closed phosphogypsum stack in background.
NWB-M-4
North - 5/1/2013: Monitoring Station NWB - M-4 looking north at bigleaf sumpweed (Iva frutescens), cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto), saltwater falsewillow (Baccharis angustifolia), sea blite (Suaeda linearis), purple bluestem (Andropogon glomeratus var. glaucopsis) and needle rush (Juncus roemerianus). East - 5/1/2013: Monitoring Station NWB - M-4 looking east at sand cordgrass (Spartina bakeri), needle rush (Juncus roemerianus), sea blite (Suaeda linearis), bigleaf sumpweed (Iva frutescens) and cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto). US 41 in background.
