NWB-M-1
North - 5/20/2011: Monitoring Station NWB - M-1 looking north at saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) prairie with cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto) and live oak (Quercus virginiana). Muscadine grape (Vitis rotundifolia) increasing in cover. US 41 in background. East - 5/20/2011: Monitoring Station NWB - M-1 looking east at saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) prairie with scattered cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto), live oak (Quercus virginiana), American beautyberry (Callicarpa americana) and groundsel tree (Baccharis halimifolia).
 
West - 5/20/2011: Monitoring Station NWB - M-1 looking west at saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) prairie with groundsel tree (Baccharis halimifolia), American beautyberry (Callicarpa americana) and cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto). South - 5/20/2011: Monitoring Station NWB - M-1 looking south at saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) prairie with American beautyberry (Callicarpa americana). Live oak (Quercus virginiana) and cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto) in background.
NWB-M-2
North - 5/17/2011: Monitoring Station NWB - M-2 looking north at cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto) and mown native grasses. Area was formerly dominated by Brazilian pepper (Schinus terebinthifolius). East - 5/17/2011: Monitoring Station NWB - M-2 looking east at various grass and sedge species as well as cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto). US 41 in background.
 
West - 5/17/2011: Monitoring Station NWB - M-2 looking west at oak (Quercus sp.) and cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto). Beggarticks (Bidens alba) and bushy bluestem (Andropogon glomeratus) not as prevalent as in prior observations. South - 5/17/2011: Monitoring Station NWB - M-2 looking south at cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto), oak (Quercus sp.), and various sedge and grass species. Much of Station M-2 maintained by mowing.
NWB-M-3
North - 5/17/2011: Monitoring Station NWB - M-3 looking north at oak (Quercus sp.) and saltgrass (Distichlis spicata). Mangroves recovering from past freezes. Note saltmeadow cordgrass (Spartina patens) dominating groundcover. East - 5/17/2011: Monitoring Station NWB - M-3 looking east at recovering white mangroves (Langunculara racemosa), saltgrass (Distichlis spicata), cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto) and needle rush (Juncus roemerianus). Damage by past freezes evident. US 41 in background.
 
West - 5/17/2011: Monitoring Station NWB - M-3 looking west at an assemblage of mangroves, cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto), and oak (Quercus sp.). Mangroves recovering from past freezes. South - 5/17/2011: Monitoring Station NWB - M-3 looking south into a salt marsh containing mangroves, salt grass (Distichlis spicata) and needle rush (Juncus roemerianus). Damage by past freezes evident. Closed phosphogypsum stack in background.
NWB-M-4
North - 5/17/2011: Monitoring Station NWB - M-4 looking north at bigleaf sumpweed (Iva frutescens), cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto), groundsel tree (Baccharis halimifolia) and needle rush (Juncus roemerianus). Sand cordgrass (Spartina bakeri) in foreground. East - 5/17/2011: Monitoring Station NWB - M-4 looking east at sand cordgrass (Spartina bakeri), needle rush (Juncus roemerianus), bigleaf sumpweed (Iva frutescens) and cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto).
