NWB-M-1
North - 4/9/2009: Monitoring Station NWB - M-1 looking north at saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) and cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto). Broomsedge (Andropogon virginicus) and grapevine (Vitis sp.) eliminated by prescribed burn. East - 4/9/2009: Monitoring Station NWB - M-1 looking east at saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) and cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto). Grapevine (Vitis sp.), bushy bluestem (Andropogon glomeratus) and saltbush (Baccharis halimifolia) lost to prescribed burn. US 41 in background.
 
West - 4/9/2009: Monitoring Station NWB - M-1 looking west at saw palmetto (Serenoa repens) and cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto). Grapevine (Vitis sp.) eliminated by burn. South - 4/9/2009: Monitoring Station NWB - M-1 looking south at saltbush (Baccharis halimifolia), saw palmetto (Serenoa repens), oak (Quercus sp.) and cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto). Note canopy burn.
NWB-M-2
North - 4/9/2009: Monitoring Station NWB - M-2 looking north at burn area dominated by cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto). Non-burn area mown native grasses. Area was formerly dominated by Brazilian pepper (Schinus terebinthifolius). East - 4/9/2009: Monitoring Station NWB - M-2 looking east at various mown grass species as well as cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto). US 41 in background.
 
West - 4/9/2009: Monitoring Station NWB - M-2 looking west at oak (Quercus sp.) and cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto). Beggarticks (Bidens alba), dog fennel (Eupatorium capillifolium) and bushy bluestem (Andropogon glomeratus) lost to burn. Ferns re-establishing. South - 4/9/2009: Monitoring Station NWB - M-2 looking south at cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto), oak (Quercus sp.) and various weed and grass species. Area not affected by prescribed burn.
NWB-M-3
North - 4/10/2009: Monitoring Station NWB - M-3 looking north at oak (Quercus sp.), saltgrass (Distichlis spicata) and young mangroves. Note saltmeadow cordgrass (Spartina patens) dominating burn groundcover. East - 4/10/2009: Monitoring Station NWB - M-3 looking east at mangroves, saltgrass (Distichlis spicata), cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto) and black rush (Juncus roemerianus). US 41 in background.
 
West - 4/10/2009: Monitoring Station NWB - M-3 looking west at an assemblage of mangroves, cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto) and oak (Quercus sp.) with evidence of prescribed burn. South - 4/10/2009: Monitoring Station NWB - M-3 looking south into a salt marsh containing mangroves, salt grass (Distichlis spicata) and black rush (Juncus roemerianus). Closed phosphogypsum stack in background.
NWB-M-4
North - 4/10/2009: Monitoring Station NWB - M-4 looking north at marshelder (Iva frutescens), cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto), saltbush (Baccharis halimifolia), swamp dock (Rumex verticillatus) and black rush (Juncus roemerianus) in foreground. East - 4/10/2009: Monitoring Station NWB - M-4 looking east at sand cordgrass (Spartina bakeri), black rush (Juncus roemerianus), saltbush (Baccharis halimifolia) and cabbage palm (Sabal palmetto). US 41 in background.
